Nadia Ndubuisi 2024/2025 Debutante

About Me

Hello!

My name is Nadia Ndubuisi, the daughter of Natasha Terrell-Ndubuisi. I am currently a junior attending Mount Notre Dame High School, where I am an active member of multiple activities. Those being National Honors Society, serving as a leader for my school both academically and socially, Multicultural Student Union, bringing a much needed perspective of diversity to my school campus, Model United Nations, a club showcasing my passions for debate and innovation, Youth Philanthropy Council, a reflection of my care for others, Mount Notre Dame Ambassadors, serving as an eighth graders "big sister" for her next journey ahead,  and Mount Notre Dame Theatre, underneath it all a fun, creative, and true lover of the arts.

In addition to my extra curriculars, for the past eleven years, I have found a true passion for music. As a piano player, whenever having the opportunity to showcase one of the pieces I have been working on, I will almost never turn down. In May of 2022, I was afforded the opportunity to participate in the Miss Black Teen Cincinnati Pageant, in which I placed 3rd! This pageant sparked the first of many performances in front of a larger audience and the love for embracing myself.

August of this year, marks the beginning of my senior year of high school. I am overjoyed to begin the process of the next steps to my future, and even more thrilled with the boundless opportunities I am given to grow and prosper.

In February of 2024, I was granted the opportunity to shadow Vice Mayor Kearney and grasp a feel for the idea of change. In that time, I participated in an open forum community meeting, where the issue of youth violence in Downtown Cincinnati was being discussed. Members of the City Council as well as members of the Cincinnati community were called to broadcast their positions on the issue at City Hall, working to find a solution to cease these occurrences.

The room was full of concerned community leaders, parents, advocates, and youth services. I can recall that after my visit, my perspective was altered entirely. The concern and drive to make a change regardless of setbacks inspired me. I was able to clearly recognize that change and stepping into a larger role can be frightening, but great possibilities are bound to come out of it. This visit further confirmed my desire to study law after high school. Specifically focusing on advocating for polices that protect and improve the rights and safety for our communities and its people. I can ensure that this August, I will inch closer and closer to fulfilling my goal.

About the Debutante Cotillion

I am absolutely honored to be selected as a Debutante in the 2024/2025 Cotillion presented by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter. In addition, I am overjoyed with the anticipation of the upcoming Cotillion Gala held on April 13th, 2025.

Helpful tip for creating ads, create in PowerPoint and use letter paper format. For a full page ad change the margins to 7.5in x 10in. then save as a JPEG or PNG image. This will create the perfect ad size. This can be repeated with the appropriate margins for 1/2page ads as well.
